Steam Deck Oled worth it?
Hi
I own the deck lcd and a lenovo legion go. I really prefer steam os over everything even if the go works pretty well. The go is probably no the device which i would travel around even if its possible so im thinking of to get an oled deck. Is the upgrade worth it in your opinion or should i wait for the legion go s which will come with steam os preinstalled?
Greetings

I'd say so. I bought my 1tb OLED around the time the white ones dropped, but black tech looks more aesthetically pleasing to me, so I got the standard. I have the OLED Switch too, so I've been wanting to make a comparison vid

There are only rumours currently; the announcement of what's actually coming isn't for another couple of weeks.

The OLED is worth having over the LCD and the Legion Go IMO, but the value proposition improves if you're able to resell the other devices to get some money back.

Installing Bazzite on your Legion Go is another option to consider for a SteamOS-like experience.

Lenovo handhelds will be the first steam os devices. I would wait for the announcement and would purchase the small one. Than you have a travel variant and the big one for your bed. the steamdeck is Great but its underpowered for newer Games

I have both the LCD and the OLED Steam Decks. I rarely use the LCD anymore, as the OLED has better black levels and colors. There are a lot also a lot of little improvements that add up. It's a little lighter, the fan is quieter, the joystick has a small lip which makes it easier for the thumb to stay on, it doesn't use as much power so the battery lasts longer..

With the Lenovo, it should be noted that they're coming out with a Legion Go 2 and a Legion Go S. The Legion Go S doesn't have the Z2 Extreme, but rather the Z2 Go. I don't know how much the performance difference will be between the two processors.

Worth it for the battery performance and screen upgrade alone.

Its pretty hard to recommend it. When the go is right around the corner and will probably ship with Steam Os Right out of the Box. Its an Upgrade to your lcd though
