There ya go.
There are other RPGs that are good and perform better on the Deck. If you are just looking for a good RPG, there are others. If you are just looking at BG3, then just know the performance isn't awesome but it's doable.
To start, enjoy any game labeled as Great on Deck. These games will be as console-simple as it gets, and they're all set to have acceptable performance by default, so there will usually be no need to tweak or adjust anything. Just install, play, enjoy, like a console.
Don't worry so much about what other people are saying in regards to performance. You can find plenty of complaints online regarding the performance of Baldur's Gate 3, yet it's consistently near the top of the most played games on the Steam Deck, so people are clearly enjoying it. Of course it's not going to run on the Deck as well as on a desktop PC with a full-fat, watt gulping GPU, but it runs well enough for countless people to have a good time with it, and that should be good enough for anyone.
