I never used this site postimg, but imagegur is saying it's at capacity. =/
One shows how you can set up your roms, the other is the case it came with. I saw it tell me I had some gift reward to redeem, I half payed attention and missed what it was or I redeemed it. I forgot what the 1tb version comes with. Anything important asides the extra space?
Steam profile bundle, exclusive startup movie and keyboard theme.
Oh ok, thanks. =)
https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/184zeo4/right_trackpad_not_working/
I found this.
Not long ago I tried the steam deck plugged into a tv, used a xbox controller. Then when I stopped, trials of mana stopped working. I wasn't even playing that! It was the only game that didn't read my inputs of the steam controller, so a restart.
Now, my right trackpad doesn't work unless i tap the steam button, and I have to press down with right trigger. x_x
The steamdeck with its ssd needs constant restarts and it's slow to restart.
You should update your threads title:
"Steam duck is amazing, I like it better than the rog ally x"
to..
"rog ally x is amazing, I like it better than the Steam Duck"
to..
"Steam duck is ..meh.. no big"
I like to compare products so other people who may be interested can read my experience.
Thanks for the bump.
For example the trackpads. In Desktop Mode, there is a configuration that you can configure how you want the controls to work. Within a game, in Game Mode or Desktop Mode, there is a controller layout you can edit. Within Game Mode but 'not in a game', there is a predefine configuration of controls we don't have access to...
In a game -> You can change controls
Outside a game in Desktop Mode -> You can change controls
Outside a game in Game Mode -> You cannot change controls (at least today)
If you are in a game and something isn't working, it's likely not part of the default control layout. Just change it.

Now that I have things working, I really do stick with the topic's title. I do enjoy it more than the rog ally, I do not mind the lower res, the screen, I can tell it's bigger. And the OLED is very nice, and for the screen size, I'm perfectly fine with the resolution. Dead Space 2 looks amazing, and it runs my favorite games from the 360/xb1 era at 60 fps. Games that say it's not supported or limited, seem to work well, Dead Space 2 was a good example, but Spec Ops the Line I was able to figure out how to get working right by going to proton compatibility.

I sold it for a reason tho, aside the windows thing(Which honestly isn't the worst thing but I always have to have my bluetooth mouse and keyboard near it), I really felt it was too bulky. The steamdeck is better designed IMO, on how it feels to hold it. I was skeptical of where the analog sticks were vs the d pad at first, but it's become 2nd nature.
I have had two straight hard locks today, playing Guns of Fury. =/ It's been working every day since Tues, then resuming it today, it froze. Then, I made sure to close it after playing, I launched it this time from steam, and steam frozen up while launching it and I had to do a second straight hard reset. ^^ I hope they patch the game because it says not compatible, it is, but the two hard crashes, may be from the game?
