How To Clean My SteamDeck?

Hello, I was wondering about ways to physically clean the SteamDeck because mine is getting a bit sweaty, dirty, and etc.

I use heavy-duty commercial-grade brillo-alcohol pads.
Use a automotive engine grease cleaning dish soap wipe and 400 grit sandpaper

You have sweaty, dirty, oily hands?
Eww. Wear gloves.

Avoid Greasy fatty foods.
Shower daily.
Do physical exercise.
Have cleaning wipes nearby.
Take your acne meds as prescribed
And most, MOST Importantly.

I use non-isopropyl pre-moistened glasses wipes for the body shell. The etched screen with the included free microfiber cloth. If the screen has stubborn fingerprints, I lightly damp the microfiber cloth and gently wipe.

If you play for long sessions and get sweaty hands even after handwashing, try silicone grips to see if it helps. I personally use JSAUX Silicone Grip[a.co] since it won’t compromise the SD body when docked.

Use lens and screen cleaning wipes, they work surprisingly well and won't damage anything. Alcohol tends to be too agressive for many materials

I would just recommend cleaning the non-screen surfaces with just some water and a cleaning towel. If you do have that much dirt/grime on it, add a drop or two of some dish soap on the wet cloth will do what you need.

On the screen, you shouldn't need much more than a little water on the corner of a microfiber cloth to clean it. After all that, if you wipe it down regularly, you shouldn't need anything aggressive to clean it.

DO NOT use alcohol pads on the steam deck, it will destroy the screen!!

You only need the microfiber cloth that came with your steam deck. If your hands are that dirty or greasy i've got a revolutionary solution:

wash your damn hands
