Opening Steam Console on Deck
Update 11/13/2022: Just in case anyone else sees this, entering the following command in terminal/Konsole while in desktop mode will open up Steam Console without having to first exit Steam:
steam steam://open/console

-----
Hello everyone, my niece owns a Steam Deck and would like to be able to download a previous version of a game, so we went into desktop mode and tried various commands in terminal (Konsole) to open the console within steam so that we could use the download_depot command. Unfortunately, the usual commands didn't seem to work, either returning an error (no such folder), or simply bringing Steam into focus, but not opening the console tab. Has anyone been able to use Steam Console on a Deck successfully so far, and if so, how did you access it?

For reference, this is what I'm talking about.

Here are the commands we tried:
steam -console (This opened Steam Client and/or brought it into focus.)
steam -dev (Same as above.)
steam://open/console (This returned an error stating that there is no such folder.)

I am not well-versed in Linux, but the first two commands were the ones that other Linux users had used successfully. However, I have not been able to find any topics about this when it comes to the Deck, so I'm wondering if this functionality is unavailable.

Really appreciate any help/instructions. Thank you!

The first command `steam -console` works but you have to exit Steam from the system tray first. Also since exiting Steam causes the controller drivers to unload you will need to plug-in a keyboard and mouse to type that in.

On steam deck, after enabling developer mode, I was able to access the console by going to:

Steam menu/settings/developer/steam console/open
