I would "phone a friend" that has a Windows PC to do it. You might be able to find an Etcher equivalent for ChromeOS but I'm not sure.

i did it with the command line version but it just wont work, something about zstv data corrupted i dont know... is there no way to install the neptune 61 headers from there and then that will fix it and boot up from the original os?

You are better off writing the image either on a Mac or Linux (another Deck can do the trick) if you go the CLI route, not that Chromebooks aren't "Linux Machines", per se, but they are looking locked down. Also, for better results, recreate the partition table on your USB drive (either use gdisk, Disk Manager, or diskmgr (on Windows) and Do not format the new partition, that would allow for easier write of either dd or any of the suggested tools to write the image.
