Since SteamOS is still not available outside the Deck, you have 2 choices IMO
something like Nobara or Bazzite, are the closest to SteamOS, you have Desktop environment with the possibility to use "Gaming mode" while Chimera you are locked into that "gaming mode"
I am not going to download anything from Russian servers.
With a respected dude, f*** Arch.
I have never been able to successfully install and configure Arch for any of my systems as I'm just not a fan.
It is also too difficult for a simple guy like me.
Now this I gotta try 🤔🤔
Have you got a link for Nobara?
nobaraproject.org or their github page https://github.com/Nobara-Project
this is the attitude that keeps a lot of users away from Linux and they think it is too difficult for them, while they probably only need to get something to open a browser on.
hell even I got annoyed when I was setting up Arch and wanted a GUI focused experience and literally every single forum posts I have ever seen was how Flatpak bricks your system or how CLI is superior, took me like 2 hours of this constant BS that I finally understood the first mistake I made was trying arch
Mint is too easy 🫤🫤
I think I'll try this.
Its like Windows, setup, ready to go, and unlike Windows contains no bloat.
or be like this guy:
and start being a prepper cause why stop at IT when applying Arch logic, DIY everything cause who needs experts, "Doctor I can operate myself, BTW I use arch"
