Can't access game controls after quick resume steam deck

Hello, I'm a new user to steam deck. My problem is that I am unable to access my game controls after using the quick resume feature. Any controller input does not appear to have any affect on the game, but rather the steam menu (e.g if I press the B button, I'm sent out of the game into the game page instead). Is there any fix to this or something I'm misunderstanding? Thanks for all help😁

yes i have the same problem, and i'm looking for a solution too. Only solution for me now is to restart the deck. but every time i put the deck in sleep mode it has a change for this again. its not specific to a game either.
