Its late, people are sleeping, hey why not, nothing like a bit of gaming before going to sleep, let me just get out the Steam Deck OLED. -rustle, rustle- RRRRRRIP!!!

Great! Now iv just woke everybody up and told everyone in a 5 mile radius that i have just opened the carry case.

Loving the Deck, but the LCD Carry case was way better in my opinion because i dont have to emit a deafening attention-seeking RRRRIIIIP everytime i want to use it.

Please revise the OLED Carry case, please remove that little Velcro strip, thats all! It is obnoxiously loud and with how strong it is, it is impossible to open it slowly and quietly.

Get one of the many 3rd party cases on amazon and similar sites.
Even if valve revised the case, they wont just send you one.

May I suggest sleeping? If not, just don't stick it together. Maybe stick the part into the case so it's not stuck together when the case is "closed"

But to me your suggestion makes the product worse. I love the new design. I love how I can cover and protect the zipper. I can always cut it off if I no longer want it...I can't really put one on. I love how I can put the deck in the case, close it, forget to zipper it and it still won't fall out.

Anyway, where are you that "people" are sleeping in the same room as you ? As a kid, I had my own room. When I went to university, I had my own room, when I finished uni and got my own place with a room mate, we each had our own room...who exactly are you waking up ?

Im a grown man with a family, a family that needs sleep earlier than me.

Snipping the velcro strap off with scissors seems like damage i really dont want to have to do to this product, or rather shouldnt have to do. It's strong velcro, thus incredibly loud. No matter how slow you try to open it the whole house hears it.

Yeah, I understand what you mean here. I was surprised when the case for my OLED came with a velcro strap on it, it's completely redundant unless you're the kind of person who just forgets to zip your case closed, and opening it is super loud. I honestly prefer using the case for my LCD Deck for that reason (plus it's got the lift strap).

If you don't want to permanently cut the velcro strap off of your case, though, as a workaround, you could probably go to a hobby store, buy a roll of sew-on velcro, and then just put some of that on top of your case's strap and cut it to fit. That will stop it from grabbing the case when it's closed, and you can remove it if you want to use it in the future.

Velcro is like a bag of chips. When you need to be discreet opening either, it is impossible to discreetly open them.
