Steam Deck

Steam Deck

Epic Games Launcher
Does anyone play on the Epic Games Launcher? It does run for me, most games are working (some more some less) but I am experiencing weird crashes on Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The screen goes black without the steam deck going off. I read somewhere it is low battery issues and a workaround did it for me for some time. But it still keeps on crashing now.

Any ideas?
What Proton version are you running for Epic Games?
Are you using Desktop mode or normal one, does it make a difference even?

I've heard good things about using Heroic game launcher, but I don't personally use Epic.

For me, the convenience of just having the game on Steam holds a lot of value. There are even a few games I already owned on GOG, but I went ahead a bought the Steam version anyway because it's so seamless to get running on the Deck that way.

in my experience, i think is better to avoid "heroic launcher". is better to always use "lutris".

with lutris you can install more launchers (including gog), and also has more options to try to make a game run which arent available in "heroic launcher"

Heroic handles GOG (and Amazon) just fine.

I basically agree and it's not really about the money but it's a matter of principle. Kingdom Come with all DLC is what not 60-70€? I already own the game why am I supposed to buy something again when I already own. Then again if it's on a huge sale I probably just get it again. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ our western economic doctrine.
