How to test rumble?
The test mode tests haptics on both trackpads, but isn't there a rumble generator in the SD? How to test it?

Turning 'Game rumble' off and on doesn't make it rumble.

SC/SD uses the haptics to simulate rumble. It has no real rumble motor.

There is a "test haptics" button in the Steam settings menu, but the feedback from that is pretty subtle. Rebooting or switching to desktop mode and back again is probably the easiest - the haptics fire up when the animation plays.

When I restart, there is a bit of "rumble". It used to be a lot louder...is it supposed to be quieter on startup now?

Not as far as I know. And I think the strength of mine is the same as it's always been.

Under Controller/Calibration & Advanced Settings, I found two sliders to crank up the vibration. They default to 7. For at least one update a while back, it was probably higher.
