The key is to use either the stick or trackpad and refine your aim with gyro.
The Steam Deck has a lot of options for fine tuning the control. For example, you can keep the left stick linear for movement, and you can slow the response of the right stick for aiming.
That's just not true. Finished Call of Duty 4 with the track pad, Had no issues at all.
You'd be surprise what humans can get good at if they practice and/or dedicate themselves to whatever it is. It's not impossible.
You didn't say anything about multiplayer. Can't say I'd bother with multiplayer. A waste of time when it could be spent on a good game.
