minecraft 1.7.10 memory leak
I'm having a problem with the steam deck that causes any versions of minecraft 1.7.10 modded to memory leak

I installed multiple different modded launchers, used different versions of java, and tried out different optimization mods but nothing seems to fix the issue. any help is greatly appreciated

Why do you believe there's a memory leak?

One of Java's strong points is that it's nearly impossible to actually leak memory. (not completely impossible, but it's rare) Furthermore, it's hard to imagine how any application could leak memory in a way that somehow only happens on the Steam Deck. If you're sure it's a memory leak, it's probably a bug in Minecraft rather than the Deck; does it happen with the same version of Minecraft on any other platform?

whenever I'm running minecraft i check btop, the ram keeps going up and once it reaches 14gb the whole system freezes up and forces me to reboot

funny enough any version after 1.7.`10 works and i dualbooted windows 10 on the deck just to make sure its a linux issue and it doesn't leak there
