Magnetic cable to charge SD, is it safe?
I bought a Vattud magnetic cable (USBC, 60w pd) with an anker nano II 45w PD, to avoid plugging/unplugging the cable constantly and prevent the degradation of the usb port, anyone using this kind of cable and noticed any problem with the battery?

thanks

Dbrand tried to have a magnetic kickstand attachment, but then found that the magnet affected the fan so they had to scrap it. The USB port is further away from the fan and on a different orientation, so maybe it would be OK?

I used this till i got my Official dock :

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09FPQT1MH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I paired it with a Anker usbc charger that came with one of their battery packs. It worked fine for me with no problems.
On the point of the magnet near the fan causing problems, aren't these magnetic connectors usually magnetized on the cable end? If that's the case then you'd only be at risk if you play while charging, if it's even a problem.

That said, I don't think you really need to be worried about the port or the cable. USB-C is designed to be abused to a fair degree. Heck, my previous phone was plugged and unplugged multiple times a day for some 4 years, and was no worse for it. Pretty sure the Deck will be fine even without this. It certainly is useful for making sure your Deck doesn't accidentally get yanked off a table though.
The original usb c port for me lasted only 2 months

I don't even think the magnetic field will reach that far to the battery, as the magnetic field falls off rather quick, plus the magnets from magnetic chargers are quite weak anyways.
