I paired it with a Anker usbc charger that came with one of their battery packs. It worked fine for me with no problems.
That said, I don't think you really need to be worried about the port or the cable. USB-C is designed to be abused to a fair degree. Heck, my previous phone was plugged and unplugged multiple times a day for some 4 years, and was no worse for it. Pretty sure the Deck will be fine even without this. It certainly is useful for making sure your Deck doesn't accidentally get yanked off a table though.
No.. the original steam deck one.. wasn't such a good quality but now I will order something with magnet
