Can't see micro sd card in windows 11
Hello, I installed Windows 11 on the Steam deck, everything works fine, I installed the drivers for the micro sd card, the card worked. And now I know I can no longer use the micro sd card, the card no longer appears, impossible to use. Do you have a solution please??
Thanks

Also, just an FYI, they released a new APU driver and a new audio driver, which are much better as far as overall compatibility goes.

Can someone help I've download the valve driver I've formatted it for a Windows PC it even reads it as a other device on my steam deck and for some reason it just won't act as a drive for storage

I have same problem too, i got this problem while i upgrade my win from 10 to 11. At first time work good, and try install game pubg on that drive D (sd card), after i want go to work and i should shutdown the steamdeck, and after that while i want to play, i see my sd card not appairs, i use another card and result is same.

I try to back my windows feom 11 to 10. And reinstall card driver, and sdcard comeback again but while i play game ( from drive C not D) for couple minute, i hear sound like sd is disconected.

Please how to fix this, this is sd card alot broken or just driver error?

Try using a USB driver removal tool to find and fully remove the SD card reader driver and files. Then reboot and reinstall the official Valve driver. You probably still have some files from the generic Microsoft driver installed that need to be removed. The SD card disconnect issue means you are still using the generic driver. Good luck.

Can you tell me how to safely do this please? My SD card shows in the device manager but doesn't show under files so I can't add is a storage device to install games on in steam. I even reformated it with a windows computer and still can't. Weird thing is I can eject it so it is definitely there, just not showing up. :/

There isn't really a "safe" way to do it... YOLO. You may have to format the Deck and try again. The Valve driver support is even worse than Dell... Kinda sad seeing how they pushed the "It's a PC, install Windows on it" then just sh@ the bed come go time.

It's so annoying every time I wake it up from sleep it has to be restarted because the SD card ejected itself for some reason.

Also I would try your solution but afraid Ill lose all the games on it lol, I have the official valve driver so idk why it just ejects itself, has even done in the middle of a game once.

To be fair, Valve's position has always really been more like, "Fine, you can install Windows on it if you seriously want to." It's never been promoted as being a first-class experience.

I don't agree at all. Digimancer's post is fully accurate and the reason why many of us pre-ordered the Steam Deck in the first place.

Still I don't think that should be an excuse for ♥♥♥♥♥♥ drivers, it's not just the SD card it's even the audio drivers, the much sounds way worse on windows compared to what it sounds like on steamOS... they NEED to fix this...

After release dates yes, before release no, they touted it as a regular portable PC that you can optionally install Windows on, it was one of their talking sales points in their online marketing.. We are talking like a year+ prior to the soft release even.

Make sure you run the Setup.exe as Administrator, then reboot when it's done.
If that fails, then try to run "BayHubTech Flash Memory Card Windows Driver.msi" in that same folder then reboot. Also... Make sure you actually extract "BayHub_SD_STOR_installV3.4.01.89_W10W11_logoed_20220228.zip" instead of just opening the downloaded file and clicking the program names.

Here is the link again just in case:

Other than that, GL. Installing this file the way I mentioned has been working since I got it.

So I just did the "run as administrator" method and I really hope it worked because now instead of showing up as a "Secure Digitial storage device" it now shows up as an "SDXC Card (D:)"... hope that means it's fixed. 👀

Hey So I have full windows 11 installed on my steam deck. My sd card works fine on windows 11. However when I open steam on windows 11, it does not read the sd card. Any solutions?
