With windows installed on my deck, invoking the steam onscreen keyboard, it always covers the text fields I'm trying to type into

The keyboard has terrible situational awareness and is constantly covering the fields I am trying to input text into. Is there some way to reposition it so it's not blocking everything I'm trying to type into?

not sure its windows, its a common issue in desktop mode in steamos as well. sometimes requries reboot to fix.

On SteamOS the keyboard position is the opposite of the pointer position: pointer near the top, keyboard at the bottom. Maybe it's the same on Windows?

Weirdly enough I never had this issue on Steam OS. I mean, even if I could tap and hold the keyboard and reposition it it would be acceptable. I'm typing completely blind, which makes it virtually impossible to type what I want. I prefer Windows for a variety of reasons, but this is something I'm going to need some solution for to be able to use it adequately and I'm really not sure what to do.
