Report a translation problem
Within System Settings, scroll down the left-hand side options until you find Controllers and Sensors. Enter the options for Controllers and Sensors and you should see each individual option for your Joy-Cons. Scroll down until you find Update Controllers.
Not the same but...I had to update through the Xbox Accessories app for the Xbox Elite controller to pair properly.
Its possible you might have to change the Steam Decks channel to beta from stable. As they have just added support for the Joy Cons recently.
