There is no technical reason for it not to.

Just making sure since most micro sd cards only know 1 Tb exist so it’s like has it been built to handle / know that one day micro sd cards could be bigger
AFAIK, the largest available SD on the market is 1.5 TiB (and it is quite expensive, as well)

MicroSD cards come in standards and those standards don't neccessarily have to be restricted by the available sizes. The Deck's cited to support the SDXC standard which supports up to 2 TB. Which, however, makes me wonder whether sizes >2 TB will work as that would require the newer SDUC standard which is not quoted for the Deck.
Deck supports SD, SDXC and SDHC and that means 2TB max

2TBs are around for a bit and let me tell you storage is dirt cheap in China, get a Huawei 2TB SDXC UHS-I U3 for 6$ or 4pcs for 17$ on wish.com

2TB for only 6$? From wish? I'm gonna get a few! They can't be fake, right?
Only problem you'll have is it being show as ♥♥♥♥. The current "recommended best" MicroSDs are basically those around 512 GB which are sold by their speeds (Samsung Evo, for example) to have a shorter loading time in comparison to others.
Haven't tested much with cheap SDs because moving over a game is quite slow already and you have to manually transfer one after the other.

You are right, moving games to a card is surprisingly slow, even for small games. My SD card is technically fast (160) with 256GB, but it takes forever to get those games over there. I havent tried installing on the SD card yet, wonder if that is slower as well
Hi, I still don’t understand if 2TB sd card is useable of steam deck or not?
Please let me know. Thanks

Yeah, worth buying from there. If you're lucky you might get a 2TB card that can hold about 32GB of data before it's full lol.
Steam Deck runs Linux, what limits are you talking about?

SSD's, micro SD's and flashdrives are frequently fake, especially in the large capacity range
The scary part is they show up as 2tb on the OS.. because they spoof the size.
The problem happens when you try to load them up, and then access those files. You will quickly realize only like the first 10gb of files or something works, and the rest of the files 'exist' but only as a name/icon that wont load.
Every time you get a drive, you NEED to fill it atleast 65% to capacity, and verify the first file, the last file, and a few random files in the middle before your return window expires
If i had to guess, those $6 2tb drives are 99% fake and 1% they accidentally send you the review model which is actually a 2tb drive

Cheap ones on wish are mostlikely fake. Since there is no way you can get original 2TB MicroSD for 6$. You will probably be getting fake storage or it is real but write and read speed is awfully slow.

There’s 2 companies currently that have made breakthroughs in micro sd storage don’t know the names but one company has made a 1.5tb micro sd card soon to be released to consumers although for a lot of money and then another company who has successfully made a 2tb micro sd card now all the ones on wish whatever are fake confirmed nomatter what now there is 2+Tb storages out there in super small form factor that do actually work but read and write speeds are so slow it’s just used as archive storage so again anything from wish fake for anyone else who looks at this forum and then 2 companies with breakthroughs in micro sd storage with the theoretical maximum storage in such a small form factor being 2tb no matter what because of some physicals law for now so yeah that’s all and yes the steam decks sd slot can read 2tb storage

Since you cannot disable something as impartant as vsync on the deck, the question is appropriate.
