delete or rename home island

i cannot delete or rename my home island, using the kite does not allow me to do this, is there something i am missing to be able to delete the island/ rename it?

havent seen a rename button, idont even see da spawn home button in mp games even tho apparently i got allowed todo so by friends

You press I then go to the island icon top right and click despawn/spawn island

Ye, delete/rename function is really missing.

I have not tried this yet, but I saw someone say that you can rename the .json file of the island and that changes the name. Apparently the island is saved in a file with it's current or a random name. Change that file name and the island name changes. I'd write down the original name the first time you try, just in case you need to revert it back.

You can! Like this:
1. despawn home island (in inventory last tab): you will be placed on a random island closeby
2. Build a kite on the new island
3. name and claim island

You now have a second island saved. You can still spawn your previous island by despawning the current home island

You can both delete and rename homeislands by going to; C:\Users\NAME\AppData\LocalLow\Astrolabe Interactive\Aloft\Data01\Characters\CHARNAME\HomeIslands. However the new name will only show up when spawning in your island, when you despawn it it will still say the previous name. Additionally, if you change the file while you have the island spawned it will create a duplicate.

I was hoping it might be fixed in todays patch but its not listed in the fixes. Still got my fingers crossed until I log and and have my hopes dashed....

It's not there yet, I checked today. Maybe next patch they will add an un-home feature
