For cooking, crafting, and watering crops, well, I can gather about 250 water in less than a minute, then just store it in a crafting-enabled container. The islands we visit often have water so topping off my supply when needed is just another minute of gathering. And a tiny basket of water lasts me quite a while!
I'm still hesitant to claim a big island because I don't know if I am going to hit the maximum (I have 4 now). I realized too late that I can't delete the island I claimed in making the guide, since I am on Macbook streaming with GFN (aka can't access my game files and delete). So what if the limit is 5 and I come across a better island lol
PS Thanks, I added it in the tips section 😊
You cannot claim the fresco islands, as most of those are multiple little islands that are loosely connected. The enormous islands (one where you would find 3-4 infection nodes) won't let you either, but you still have a pretty wide selection of isalnds. My main (crafting/farming/etc) island is actually one with a knowledge anchor on it and I think it looks pretty cool when I sail it around.
