tell me your build and tell me your background aswell

for example

This game doesn't really work like that. There are no break points or perks that unlock at certain levels making it beneficial to have stat X at a certain level to get Y benefit. It's all just on a sliding scale. Look at the descriptions and figure out what kinds of things you want to focus on, put points into those things. As you level in the game, you can put more points into whatever other things you want and buy perks but you don't get those from having your starting stats at any particular score.

If you want to focus on ground combat, put points into Soldier stats. Ship combat? Pilot. Et cetera.

The only caveat to that is that Intelligence grants a bonus overall to experience points gained in everything, so putting points into that can be of benefit. Sometimes, I just allocate all my points into Intelligence and be done with it.

I honestly haven't found much difference. My first character went heavily into industry, not realizing there wasn't much industry to speak of at the time. I think I went Merchant with her background. My second character went heavy into the piloting skills and took the Freelancer background. I'm sure there's some statistical difference, but it's been essentially unnoticeable. I make more money from some activities, but I have so much money with both characters that the two backgrounds haven't felt different to play.

The three sets of stats you see in character creation each earn experience from their own sources and activities. You'll earn Pilot xp from Freelancer missions and killing enemies with your ship. You'll earn Soldier xp from doing Mercenary missions and from killing enemies with personal weapons. You'll earn Adventurer xp from mining (though very little this way) and -- most importantly -- from Pilot and Soldier sources if you take the perks to enable that. There are some other sources for these things as well, but the point is that you'll have a lot of experience coming in and you won't have to choose between, say, Coordination (industrial skill) and Reflexes (pilot skill). They're in different groups.

As a result of the above, you can get everything pretty high. And, as a point of reference, 10 points might get you + .1% crit chance (with a decimal), so it's pretty small. Your background will have a bigger effect on the money you make, but your gear and perks will have the biggest effect of anything.

TLDR: You don't really have to worry about it. At least at this point in time, stat differences are pretty much a non-issue, especially in character creation. Focus more on the character perks you want when you're leveling up.

And as an extra note, my current character has every Pilot perk, so build diversity doesn't seem to be a thing. You'll eventually level up so high that you'll have everything you want, so it's more a question of which things you want first.

considering that right now the best way to do money early on is by farming villages.

Boosting your sniper dmg ( perception ) is probably the way to go.

Otherwise i would focus my points entirely in pilots. Either boosting dmg ( reflexes ) or shield/armor ( willpower ) if i just want to use Drone ships since drones get their dmg from coordination.

I'm cheating on attributes, so, it does not count; but I prefer Freelancer background because of %20 more XP for every kill.

Get attributes to make your ship DAMAGE DEALER or TANK; SPEED does not do a shait, enemies always move faster than you... cheating bastards.

If you hit tab to retract your weapons you can fly roughly twice as fast, allowing you to close the distance with any fighter that is trying to fly away from you. Once you get close hit tab again and blast them.

I put almost all my starting points into intelligence, as it gives a bonus to all exp earned, allowing me to level up faster.

I took the captain starting class as it makes all my wingmen and squads more effective.

The first perks to get should always be the ones that grant more exp.

Do some afk mining of asterok early on so you can get the adventurer exp perk and cash to get you started. Buy a ship you like (XM or Xeghan are good choices, but up to you). Upgrade your ship to tier 4 at a faction hanger and buy the 2 extra module holders that best suit it.

From there on focus on getting to level 3 in freelancer, bounty hunter and mercenary guilds (I recommend in that order). This allows you to buy legendary turrets, ship components and ground combat gear.

Once you have a good T4 ship and all legendary gear, you can keep leveling up very easily and upgrade everything every few levels.

The vast majority of the Game is Space Ship combat. The absolute BEST start for the game is dumping ALL points into Reflexes so your Ship does maximum damage from day 1. Once you hit Level 2+, spend points however you see fit as you won't "need" more Reflex points for a good while, other than to get Perks you want like reducing Weapon Overheat which is a serious problem early game.

For Planetside combat, all you really need is to get a very good Sniper Rifle (Scoped, NOT Railgun) and keep the NPC's at a distance as best you can. Also get good at headshots with both the Sniper Rifle and a close quarter Weapon like the Assault Rifle or Shotgun (Shotgun requires pretty close range to be properly effective).

If you want a little more balanced start go : Reflexes > Perception > Intelligence.

You will NEED points in ALL Attributes eventually but you've got plenty of Levels to chew through and bonus Attribute points on Components that help.

I was just watching your video with that odd tip of dumping points into reflexes. Do you (still) stick to that advice? Why not intelligence since it makes experience rise faster? What about the other player that said the best way to get money is by farming villages?

Yes and no. It's still accurate that most of the game takes place in Space but there's also been several updates since that video that have tuned on-foot combat and NPC AI to make it a little more challenging.

Dumping the same value of points into Intelligence instead of Reflexes is also a sound strategy during Character creation. It will certainly give you a quick leveling boost early on, at the slight detriment to space combat during those early levels. That said, space combat is quite easy once you learn "how" to do it so not having crazy high points in Reflexes from day 1 really isn't going to hurt you and Intelligence WILL help you in more than just one aspect of the game.
Put 15 into intelligence and the rest in reflexes to start.
