Their steam page says it supports controllers but it is broken like a lot of things with the game, should have been released into Early Access, as saying its a finished product is clearly not true.
What are you even talking about? The game is on Xbox, Controllers need to be working.
Controller is massively superior to keyboard, only thing that is better is mouse for aiming.
Game says it supports controller and it doesn't work and I paid money for a working product.
People like you are why games come out broken.
Go else where and pretend you are better than everyone, I will take no more time responding to low I.Q. idiots like you.
Product is perfectly functional. Your garbage controller isn't.
Adorable. OP isn't playing on Xbox. Pointless point is pointless.
This is what console peasants actually believe.
In Steam got to Stalker > settings > Properties > Controller > disable Steam input
worked like a charm!
It's bliss buying all games from Epic and Microsoft instead of Valve. Just FYI, there are a few games on Steam that -require- Steam Input, there's a special API that developers can use that makes them only support input from the Steam client. Valve will not issue a refund when their proprietary API breaks your game.
So, as a public service announcement, @#$% Valve.
Someone also suggested installing Xbox Accessories app from Microsoft Store AND disabling Steam Input. I couldn't do the former, since I deleted everything Microsoft Store related.
Oh well, had to play with KBM. Not bad for combat, but exploration is terrible because you're either walking VERY slowly, or you're sprinting through the tunnels, facilities and such without ever admiring the environment.

If PlayStation, you want Special K itself, because it supports adaptive triggers.
Try all other options (disable/enable/default) and restart the PC before each, also mine wouldnt even run until I shutdown steam and ran Stalker2.exe in administrator mode from the installation directory.
