@OP sorry to piggy back on your thread.

How "Early Access" is Forever Skies right now? From your reply, I'm guessing the story isn't complete, but are there enough playable contents for a group of friends to tackle?
Actually the game is set to come out early this year on PC and PS5. So unless things change 1.0 is on the way. There is still work to be done and things are changing. As with any EA times and releases can change.
I think the content so far is quite enjoyable and satisfying. You have a major immediate goal that the current story takes through completion, and the tech progression and exploration is very good. I have only played on singleplayer, but I suspect that the enjoyment factor of multiplayer will depend in part on how much your friends are on board with sticking together and cooperating; you all share the host's airship, and the world is not persistent, so leaving people behind on POIs is not a good idea. So if someone doesn't feel like exploring the current POI, they can stay on the ship and craft/build/reorganize or whatever, but they can't go somewhere else without the rest of the group.
Thanks for the info, glad to hear it's still on track. Helped me decide to pick up the game and give it a try!
