Water Purifier Improvement?

Currently, the Water Purifier can only purify as much dirty water as you're currently holding, but what about making it so that you can add more dirty water as it's processing what it has, to store up more clean water at once without having to make at minimum 4 extra normal bottles? The maximum already visually looks to be 20 units, to match the large bottle.

I think the way they have it is fine. I never felt pressed for water either clean or dirty.. I actually had 2 rain collectors and 2 purifiers.. seemed to work fine.

I only use the large bottles to store clean water in my cook pot and then also to collect fluids like oil.

The water purifier can only handle 5 units of water at a time (not all that you are currently holding). The wait is not that long. Like Darth, I have two purifiers stacked up.
Water bottles are not a problem. I have never actually made one since you can score five or six of them in any underdust location. I carry two extras at every tower for water and other fluid loot. At a greenhouse, I fill four small bottles and put the clean in a large bottle.

Weird, I've been able to dump an entirely full large bottle's worth of dirty water into it just fine.
Regardless, it's not a very pressing concern, I was just hoping for a mildly convenient addition. A bit like throwing a few more clothes into the dryer and increasing the timer to account for the additional load of wet garments.
