Elusive Large Storage Chest

I'd like to have found the large chest on my own, but I'm pretty deep into the game and still having to use the little storage chests!
1. Is is a scanned broken item or
2. is it a blueprint you find? And,
3. Are they random items or is there a place someone can point me to find this darn thing?

It's been a long time since I played but I think there is a medium and a large.

I believe the medium one that hangs on the wall is randomly found at locations where you pick up those orange blueprint things/possibly something you scan can;t quite remember. I believe it is a bit RNG so.. could get it early on or very late.

The large on is in a fixed location hidden in the Underdust.. you basically get it at the end of the game.. you need to get past the large flowers in one area to get to it and scan it.

So it's not down in the tunnels it's on the first level of the Under-dust.

Yea like mentioned above it's on the main level. Sorry should have been more specific.

Okay, that's awesome. Thanks. I remember that flower blocking that section but didn't go back after the thermo stuff and have explored the tunnels as much as I could. Thanks. Now I can do some rearranging and get rid of several small boxes!

I find the under dust area and tunnels really confusing. The jumping in the game is pretty weak but needed around that map. Would like to see them improve the movement in general. It feels clunky, especially the jumping!
