3-Wide Cockpit, Radar Placement?
Hello,
Does anyone have any suggestions where to place the Radar Display in the 3-Wide Cockpit? I liked placing on the right side of the small cockpit, but now that is like 12 feet away in-game and placing on the front glass has an odd angle and it obscures the view. Seems like this mechanic needs a little re-work? Thx!

I actually place mine right above the helm on the ceiling. Make sure it is the right direction and I just look up to see it. Makes it very easy to look at.

I use the inverted 3-wide one, and then place it on the glass, it seems to work better than with the regular one.

I once put it on a table to my right.

I do the same, but convenient placement on the ceiling is quite a long task, so sometimes I just put the radar on the floor, to the left of the steering wheel.

I use 2 wide (better view for me) cause 3 wide is a bit "too wide" for me at least heheh....

but I put the radar above me so I can look up to see where I am going and it keeps out of the way when flying ahead.

I have been using my "family photo" as a marker near the bottom of the bay as "my center" cause sometimes I get confuse when I turn my head while flying forward.
I use the inverted 3 wide cockpit and place behind the steering yoke so I can see it while flying the ship by glancing down. At most it makes it slightly harder to gauge landing spots. Takes some getting used to when you mainly use the 1 wide inverted.

Thanks! I was thinking about trying a side table, and the inverted glass sounds intriguing.

exactly what I do, I have no idea why people place the map to the left or right walls. You place it just above your vision straight ahead
I place mine right in front of the helm, almost down on the floor, and move the helm back a bit, it means that every time I'm at the helm, I can see it very clearly, it's not blocking my view, and it's always in the direction that I'm looking.

Thanks Stormfire61! I will try that.

I used a railing to the side and slapped it onto that, worked best for me

It "would be cool" if we can have an upgrade radar that can be "clear overlay" on the cockpit. That way we can see through it while flying.
I usually build a half rail next to the helm and place the radar on that. one of them works inside. Also there is a new half wall that might work too tho i have not tried that yet

I have never put it anywhere else except directly above the helm..... So I have clear views all around and even down low.... and only have to look UP to see it. Incredibly easy to see and orient yourself/airship to the direction you are looking/heading. Anything else to me is just...... well.... unacceptable.
