It may be stupid of me to ask but. Sandbox mode?
i had a burning question about this game. i saw some other people play it and i adored the look of it so into my wishlist it went. ship-builder open world survival games are definitely my jam.

so i was wondering, is there or will there be a sandbox mode implemented? where the story becomes more of a side objective (not literally of course) and the main focus lies on building your dream airship with endless resources and doing whatever you please?

edit: i think i wasn't clear before. i meant a sandbox mode where you don't have to worry about health, hunger, thirst and what not. being able to make whatever you like with an unlimited amount of resources.
someone already told me that it was under consideration, genuinely thank you all for the helpful answers but i feel like most of you misunderstood what i meant with 'sandbox mode'.
(granted i wasn't being very specific, that's my bad.)

At the moment I do not believe so. At least not according to the most recent roadmap. Here is the link to upvote for it. It is right now under consideration.

No the are unlimited. The towers in each biome are procedural. So as you fly further. Towers will start to repeat themselves. So as long as you keep flying you will keep finding resources. Then the only solution is to add more storage or stop gathering resources. Also, they will not be expanding stack sizes any further.

hopefully a larger storage container is in our future - or at least a good use for synthetics

There are mods on the Nexus that help with this issue.

been using them for a while
the game is unplayable without a storage mod (in my opinion)

not sure who is in charge of stack limits but from what i can gather they are set in their ways and refuse to budge an inch

It is the Dev team. The stack sizes have already been raised before. I have no issues with storage and TBH am a hoarder in these games. It just means making a bigger ship to hold more storage. There are lots of options for storage as is and I would think more are to come.
