Dumb question on PET ?

How do you Interact with him when on Ship or can you ? "like petting if you want" ... I tried "E" which is the for interact. Nothing.

Is he on his bed ?, if so you should be able to access his slots (you can give him clothing etc some of it is in the underdust.) buy pressing E, and get him to follow you by (holding down E)
To unfollow you need to go to his bed and unfollow from there, hope that helps

That part I know about and can pet him when you need O2 when underdust ... So what I'm seeing .. IS .. there is No just petting at any time if you wish.
