Cannot research balloon core past under dust now.
Title says it all.
Have all other upgrades so far just got to the point where I researched hypothermia from Underdust.
Have the balloon expansions unlocked. Been quite a whiles since I played a
lot has changed.
Is there something I am missing to unlock the balloon core now?
Before I just needed to scan copper and helium.
Now it says something about epoxy in a few posts which I also have unlocked.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It should be in the Research Station. It takes Helium and Epoxy to Research. Then should be able to use. Trying to remember if anything else needs to be done. Does it even show up in your ship building tool? Even if you can't use it?

Sadly no what's weird is that I constantly have that yellow icon showing that there is something new under the balloon tab but it doesn't show up at all.
As far as the research station it never appeared there.
Will it not show up under the builder tool if you don't have enough room to place a new balloon?
I have the spacing 8 wide with 4 rooms worth of clearance between where I wanted the new core and where the old one is.

That is wierd. If it has the yellow tab and on the Balloon yet there is nothing there. That is an issue. I should be back on game soon. And will try to see what happens when I try to get it. It should show up but be red if you don't have enough room or you don't have enough materials. I apologize for the issues. I would also make a bug ticket. But please be patient. As they are behind from the holiday break.

I just got to that point again. Once I had Helium and Epoxy. It gave me the research for the Balloon Core. If you didn't see this then something is off on your game. Sorry.

Update:Tried what someone else send me a PM about using legacy building rules and it appeared instantly under research I now have access. changed them back to normal after saving and its still there.

Not sure how that would of affect it but it worked that's all that matters.

I got my Balloon Core research from the computer at the bottom of underdust. I did not get it from Helium and Epoxy pickups.
