Questions, general game-play Q&A
Hello, loving the game and as I approach the end of the main game I find myself a little confused. That is why the questions aren't more separated, I didn't want to make several discussions just to ask several questions.

Questions!

(01) Is there a large water tank? I have yet to find it and the naming of "small water container" makes me think that there is a larger one.

(02) I know that there are little ports in the engines but I have no idea how to store the fuel in anything to allow them to pull from. Any help?

(03) How many balloons can I actually have?

(04) Are you able to put balloons in a more linear and long design? Maybe two balloons wide by two balloons in a second row? I ask being unable to directly check. (Too heavy.)

(05) I noticed that the late-game issue with being able to place down the catwalks taking progressively longer and longer as the game goes on, yet numerous other objects aren't slowed in the least. I have tried the few suggestions I have seen, DX11, lowest settings, 30 frames, full-screen, and vsync on. Help? My PC is much higher than the suggested and this only happens when dealing with railing or when dealing with catwalks.

(06) Is there a way to store liquid oxygen, clean water, etc... in certain containers like the one for dirty water, small liquid container... the name escapes me? But it has been the only water storage... or fluid storage at all yet.

Suggestions

(01) Some method of simply destroying things. It sounds counter-intuitive but after awhile i just don't need the metal and base resources anymore.

(02) I love that they take out the thing that attaches to the airship. An empty pair will strip it before it even gets close, maybe a weapon suggestion or something?

Ok, Let me see if I can answer everything for you.

1. Yes there is a larger water tank.
2. There is a fuel tank you get.
3. As many as you want, but note that large ships will tank FPS eventually.
4. Yes, design your ship how you like.
5. This is just from having so much going on. Try turning off Head bob and Ship sway if you haven't already. Since you have tried all the other basic helps.
6. The only clean water you need is when you drink. You can cook, make fuel, water plants all with dirty water. Only need to drink Clean Water. Store some in a large bottle of several small bottles. As not much is needed and can always make more.

Suggestion two. The Deck extractor, auto extractor and filtered auto extractor all can kill the flying enemy.

Hope this answers everything. If not please feel free to ask away. Happy Gaming.

Thank you for answering, Phoenix Cat, and just to answer to suggestion 1:

It sounds like you need to find The Recycler. Its a machine that can break down items to their core ingredients. Especially useful for when you dont need small storage boxes etc anymore.

Amazing response and hit most of the bases perfectly, and I am most grateful. Even the speed of response was most commendable.

Of note on (05), these are turned off also. I am flying a three balloon wide airship thinking that I could only build balloons side-by-side. lol.

Regarding the auto-extractor, they fill so quickly and I am landing 600 of each resource each time I actually go around and clear them. Once they fill they are useless, I think that maybe having them continue to work but lose the extra resources when full?

I appreciate the knowledge that there is something. My problem extends to those base materials though and my lack of use for them. It might seem silly, but a simple trashcan would be an extremely nice addition. Maybe even keep the whole theme of the game and instead of a trashcan the means in the game should continue with the environmental theme of the game. As I said above, I am getting six hundred of those base materials each time I empty the machines around my awkward barge.
Since you can drop things on the ground, you could always just drop it at a spot you stop, and leave it there.

Yeah, dropping off un-needed/wanted supplies can be done at any PoI. I usually end up doing that once I get a stack of seeds for any particular plant.

Planning your ship layout can help with the flying enemy, if you limit where they can attach.

Thank you both for the suggestions about getting rid of the stuff by dropping it at POI's, makes life much easier.

I did want to ask about limiting where it can attach, what do you mean? How can you limit its attach points?

Surprise Question

I am having a literal nightmare trying to pipe things around the airship. Difficulty with snapping and it really doesn't want to work out for me. Can I get some tips on that? I am having difficulty with both the sprinklers and the gas tanks. Just cannot seem to get them to connect up.

Just as an added point, I am grateful for the tips and help I have already received. Thank you.

The flying creature like catwalks and things that attach to it. For pipes, they are finicky. They are getting a rework. It just couldn't be done before 1.0. Just make sure the pipes are going right way. There are arrows and do the best with the joints. Using the snapping grid helps.

Is there a clear way to tell when the pipes are set to snap, and when they aren't? I have to be honest here... I cannot tell any difference in toggling them. :misterx:

They will change color when the fluid moves thru them. So you are sure that it is connected. The blue lined grid should show up like when snapping other items.

Thank you, that will help to take some of the hassle away from it. I love the game, and it is frustrating sometimes though. I cannot build many catwalks and learning that they attach to them I might just get rid of the bulk of them as they are largely unneeded.

Is there a fix for the problem when your airship is suddenly at a super odd angle?

:check_mark: I hope the dev happens to see this... I have to say that I am a big fan of narrative without hitting you over the head with it. The plot is subtle but depending how closely you look there is actually a large amount of background in the game. It is really well made, so much that I have purchased two extra copies for my friends to play the game with me, lol. I think that the largest issue I have now is that I don't want to turn to the last page and so I scavenge and things like that to keep the game-world alive. You deserve a good review, and when I find the words I shall write it. Just kind of wanted to let you know... and... such...

First, glad you are enjoying the game. As for your question. Do you have Airship sway on or off? Turning it off may help. If not, let me know and I can give info for a bug ticket. Thanks.
Xiro May 13 @ 5:50pm
It happens randomly, I have both bobbing and sway off. It usually happens in multiplayer and when we have come up from an elevator. We come back to the ship and it is on some random tilt has happened.

There doesn't seem to be a concise cause, but I will try to observe more. I cannot reproduce the error at will so it makes it near impossible to actually show you.

What I can do is to take some screenshots so you can see what I mean. The only cure I have found is to get at a control station. Then you adjust elevation and immediately the ship is normal like nothing happened at all. This has been noted to apply even after saving and reloading.

Once you have the extendable walkway, they offer a solution that is quite a bit funnier

I extend the walkway up and away from the ship. Walk to the end and drop everything not no longer needed. It can leave a cluster of little boxes in the air. If you fly far enough away they go poof. Good time.

Yeah, that's the method I was using. I just sent it off a random direction and retract. Same idea.

A trash can is a great idea and one that has been suggested on our upvote page before :)
