No guarantee he answers. Like I said. He's awfully busy
Here is the location of the log files.

Maybe I can help. If I may start with your specs. Are you running an RTX video card?
I thought ever Steam gamer knew these; Verify game files, double check device drivers are up to date. Uninstall the game, then reinstall and verify files again
Since it happens within a few seconds the probable failure mode is GPU/Driver
Try using -dx=which ever one you haven't used yet, -dx11 or -dx12
Also, Vulcan is typically worth trying
I have seen posts that ray tracing can cause issues
So, did you look at Options, or did the game crash before that (which is what I'm guessing happened)
When you post you need to post your system specs
Often different GPUs have different issues with a particular game.
Memory being sucked up by leaving your browser open with a mere 111 tabs
Anyway, please share your specs, and if you've done any of the above
Good Luck
Hey ya Phoenix Cat. Here is my basic system info.
OS is Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
Motherboard is a MSI X570-A PRO (MS-7C37)
Processor is a AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor, 3801 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)
Video card is a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM is 32.0 GB
Just updated my graphics drivers, but still trying a few other things. I run a lot of other games so been distracted with those a bit hehe. But want to get this game running.
Yes I’ve tried all these things except Vulcan. i7-13700, 32gb ram, RTX 4047 ti, Windows 11
Everything is closed in background. Drivers up to date, reinstalled 3 times (deleting cache folder each time). Verifying doesn’t help. Dx 11 and 12 both crash. RTX/DLSS features completely off. Low graphic settings. I’ve literally tried everything I could think of besides Vulcan. Only game I’ve ever had trouble with.
Edit: tried -vulcan and it’s the same. It’s something to do with the intro video I guess, It crashes before it can play it.
Ya I am, i7-13700, 32gb ram, RTX 4047 ti, Windows 11
I replied to someone else here explaining what I’ve tried so far. I’m not seeing an option for Vulcan though. I may try rolling back my video card, it’s the last thing I can think to do.
Edit: well I tried adding -vulcan to launch options and it’s the same.
I suppose it’s when the intro video starts that it crashes, though I’ haven’t been able to see any of this video so idk
Hello. Please try this. There is an issue with DLSS on some RTX cards. Follow the instructions and then restart and should help. If not let me know. Thanks.
OK have what should work right now. There are some issues with DLSS that are being addressed. Until fixed do this.
Delete the file sl.pcl.dll from your forever skies game folder in steamapps. Just search for it and delete it the game should run fine after that.
here is where it is at. The x is your harddrive.
x:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Forever Skies\ProjectZeppelin\Plugins\Nvidia\Streamline\Binaries\ThirdParty\Win64
Hmm, that didn’t work either.
I’m also getting rubber banding while scrolling menus. I mean using a controller I’ll scroll down like 6 options in settings then it jumps back up four settings, scroll down 6, jumps back 4. That sort of thing. Probably unrelated though.
I will say ... Wish you the Best of Luck on resolving the issue
PS: If are running DirectX 12 ... try going back to 11, even if they say 12 compatible - 12 still has an issue with some Games ... I ever rarely use DirectX 12
