Stuck for the Alternative ending?

Am I stuck or something, the moment I crafted the cure and got to the building, some voice told me there was another way. Nothing more. I stopped doing the quest, so haven't prepared the rocket or anything and I've visited every possible location multiple times now, but nothing I find gets me any further. The storyline seems to have shifted so the walkthroughs don't seem to work any more. I got the roaches key, I got access to the machine, I have no blueprint I can collect for the Tree AI key. And it's the only location I cannot access.
What am I missing?

BTW the icons for the different buildings can be larger / more varied because it's very hard to see which is which, I ran into the same thing multiple times simply because the icon is so similar it's hard to remember what i have to visit next.

So If you did not finish the cosmodrome. Finish it and the next part of the questline will pop up.

Did by any chance your way was blocked? My first cosmodrome, going left I was told there is another way ... and then a big beam was blocking the way ... after a few min I just flew to another cosmodrome which did not have that beam and the story continued.

Did you really try to get to the top of the building near the rocket?

No, because I feared it might lock me into that single ending. If that's not the case, and your answers seem to imply that, I will go on. Maybe an (optional) find another way prompt under the same quest would help?

Younarr not locked into an ending at the cosmodrome. But you will have to make a choice eventually.

ok I'm making this whole thing a spoiler. You don't get locked into an ending till at the AI Tree. You need to do the cosmodrome to start the endings. Then you can get the AI Key. PLEASE SAVE before going in the AI Tree. Because once down there you will have to make a decision. Then you will be locked in. You can do one ending. Reload your save and do the other. Then you can fly around and finish your ship and anything else you need to collect to 100% the game. Any other questions feel free to ask.

Yeah I did (both) the endings, thank you, I just feared I had missed something because the voice says there's another way and that I shouldn't go on, so well... I didn't :)
