Machine Scrap and what to do with it?
As the title says I got a lot of Machine Scrap (the thing you get for cutting wires of certain objects at Workshop location and honestly I have no idea what I can use them for? Does they have any use? Or they're just for boosting points in workshop crafting machine?

Yep, I think it's just for points and earning exchange tokens in the materials Trade station that's at the same location.
I bought a lot of paint cartridges of different kinds thanks to cleaning out the location and my inventory overflow.

Like what? I have completed the story
...and didn't find anything that would use these as ingredients so that's why I ask here

I also didn't find anything that needs them as a resource so also curious. I did notice they have the best exchange rate in the workshop though, but the description made me keep them just in case.

The exchange rate for most items to tokens is 1:1, but scrap had like 1:15 or something. I do remember wanting to sell some polymer and the thing took a full stack of 22 from me and gave me...22 tokens. Feels like nothing other than scrap is worth trading there.

That's exactly what I thought at first but then read the description and started to collect them but I can't yet find anything that would use them except that exchange machine

feels like cut content as tbh the cutting tool is not used at any other poi and it felt like a whole tier of stuff was meant to come after getting the cutting tool but it all "got cut"

Wait, you mean the cutter didn't cut its own content?
