Got the deluxe edition, and also played the demo to unlock skins for the airship, but have yet to find how to use them

Do you have the Airship Painting Tool? It is what is used to change the color and look of the airship.

Get the Paint Tool from a location called Small Town, which can be found within the blue Silent City biome.

After that, the paint pattern is found in the "Unique Patterns" category of the Paint Tool.

You will only find seeds for this plant!! The seeds are in Underdust Suburbs (after walking down the big tree from the elevator, turn around and head behind you to your right and follow this path; you'll run into some trees that have the seed pods on them!); they are "stuck" to a tree, that you will need your knife [Aircutter] to "cut out"; The pods give pig smile seeds and northstar seeds. The pods are gray looking, kind of like a web glomp. You will know you found them when you approach them, because the knife icon will show. I found them just nosing around
