Why isn't this sprinkler working?

The cross connector allows two pipes to cross over each other, but the pipes stay separate. (The game tries to indicate this with the arrowheads, but a lot of people miss that.) So the section running horizontally is not connected to any input. Try setting up your pipes so that your tank is connected to one of the outer ends of one sprinkler, and the two sprinklers are connected to each other in series.

I see. I thought you were incorrect at first, but I see you're right and that's what's going on now.

Sprinklers have an output so I can daisy chain them. Is that what you're referring to?

Yes, connect one sprinkler to the next.

Thanks for your help. I fiddled with it so long and thought I understood everything. But when you look at junctions it's kind of visually clear that they aren't splitters.

Kind of wish there was a splitter element though T.T

Glad I could help. :) A lot of people seem to want a more flexible piping system, so maybe the devs will take another look at it at some point.
