Automatic Deck Extractor

I for the life of me cannot find the Automatic one anywhere i have found the filtering one so many times now but the automatic one is nowhere to be found

Currently there is a bug that if you find and scan the Filtering deck extractor before the Automatic deck extractor, the Automatic one may not spawn in correctly. There have been a couple of patches that have fixed this for most people, but apparently not everyone. Make sure your game is up to date (you can force a check for updates by using the Steam "verify local files" function), then pick a random direction and fly at least 3km away, so that all of the towers around you are newly spawned in. Then find the tower type where the Automatic extractor spawns, the Infected Greenhouse, and hopefully it will be there.

I will give that a shot and let ya know Ive tried like everywhere to no luck so far where in the Infected GreenHouse would it be?

On one side of the site or the other, (check both sides, I missed it the first time by landing on the other side) there will be a room with access blocked off by a locked ladder and a locked door. (So at least the crossbow is needed to get it period) Auto is inside the room. Also, may not be every site, but the one I got it from was actually outside the danger zone so I didn't need the booster.

Did you try the lower landing decks? I found it in a locked room at a lower altitude.

If you see the large pool of dirty water, you've gone too high/walked too far.

I didn't get the auto deck extractor until late into the story, in a overgrown/mutated base where I needed high immunity to explore it. I got the improved/filtering version way early, near the start of my campaign. It must be an error.

I would expect the Autoextractor to be at the location (Windfarm variant) instead of the filtered version, and then the Filtered version to be later in the game at the infected greenhouse tower when you have the ability to explore it, instead of the way it is now where you can find the upgraded version and miss out on the auto extractor.

The game assumes you will follow the story before going off on your own (not a safe assumption, obviously). The Automatic extractor was moved to the Infected Greenhouse specifically to let the player find it early on, on the assumption that the player would follow the instructions to visit the Infected Greenhouse immediately after leaving the Lift tower where they got the Upgrade Station, and thus would get the blueprint just after getting the equipment necessary to craft it.

I have noticed that the game play became a lot more linear in the new update and you are forced to follow the story closely otherwise you cannot access certain sites. But in relation to this specific item - automatic deck extractor, you are more likely to find the Filtered Deck Extractor, while you are visiting wind farms, to get the material to be able to expand the balloon to be able to get to higher platforms, needed to follow the story.

Also I just happened to finally get the automatic deck extractor after visiting dozens of infected towers, I finally got the right type to spawn, all the other ones visited did NOT have the locked room with the wrecked auto extractor.
