Report a translation problem
It's probably to prevent players losing the stuff stored in containers attached to the wall. You'd get the containers drop, but the contents would vanish (just like when you pick up a full box).
From a programming perspective it's much less work to block construction in this way than to make massive if/else arguments for each and every possible item that could be on a given wall (which could also create a whole list of potential bug sources).
I hope we'll be able to do so eventually, it would be a good QoL feature, but I think the devs have higher priorities at the moment.
