Building question
Why cant I attach new rooms if I have a wall set up?
Also can I attach them if I have a floor set up or will I have to remove the floor?

Walls get in the way, because when you add a room it doesn't want anything in the path. Floors you will have to remove anything off of the floor. Any items sitting on it. This also goes for anything hanging on a wall or ceiling. Hope this answers your question. It is just a matter of having a clean wall, ceiling or floor to add to. The new room wants 5 clear sides. Metal Floors will auto pop in. Any other floor will be in the way and has to be added later.

It's probably to prevent players losing the stuff stored in containers attached to the wall. You'd get the containers drop, but the contents would vanish (just like when you pick up a full box).

I mean, a better way would be to just let a person put the room down and it NOT affect the stuff on the other side of the wall, but that might hard to do?

From a programming perspective it's much less work to block construction in this way than to make massive if/else arguments for each and every possible item that could be on a given wall (which could also create a whole list of potential bug sources).

I hope we'll be able to do so eventually, it would be a good QoL feature, but I think the devs have higher priorities at the moment.
