Location Radar Help?
Hello. I just started the game today. I'm doing ok, but I got up to the part where it wants me to build the location radar. I have it researched, but it requires "Electric Elements" as a component. I've searched this radar tower high and low, and there's nothing around. Where am I supposed to pick these up? Do they drop off of something I'm supposed to disintegrate?
I found a bunch of transformers, are those related?
Thanks

You should have been able to find some at the first tower the game directs you to after leaving the starting location. However, you should be able to get the crafting recipe for them by using the extractor on those weird things that look like two reflector panels mounted on a lamppost; they give silicon, and picking up silicon should give you the recipe.

I'm actually still at the first tower. Btw It never directed me toward a tower... it told me go toward any tower with a blinking light. I went kinda straight and then turned right and saw a blinking light.
The game progressed, so I must be in the right spot. I got the metal collector done, all that.... but I've combed this thing 3 times over. Found a bunch of transformers, machine components... even found a bunch of glass and the flashlight scan.
But no electric components anywhere I can find, nor silicon. I thought it must be there or I'm going nuts, but I swear there isn't any.

At this point I've used up all my synthetics trying to keep myself watered and fed, and there aren't any floating things in this area so I'm about to have to fly back to the starting place if I can find it.

Not sure if this is a bug or just some type of spawning issue with the electric things.

Weird. The lamppost things with silicon are pretty common; if you just fly around a bit you should find some. Alternately, head towards any other single flashing light you can spot, and see if the tower at the light has a platform low enough for you to land on. Almost any type of tower has a chance to spawn electrical elements, so as long as you can manage to land there it's worth checking out. Your major limitation at this point is that your ship can't fly very high, so most towers are inaccessible.

I was able to get silicon from those solar panel crane things and make my electrical components that way. Thank you for the tip!!!
I put a few more hours in and just made it to the top level of garden, some noah's hideout or something. Pretty cool! Thanks for the assist
