Seriously, stop the mass roll out of this dross. Every other game is the same thing. Make something that you want to make, not just reskin something thats already been done to death.

Hero meets tragedy, overcomes it, gets the girl and saves the day - Just about every hollywood movie.

But whenever there is something new or big with good ambience world, its usually a rogue like or souls like, or a new game in an old series like tales suddenly getting dodge based survival mechanics. 5 or 10 more years of that and those will be included in the list

Companies should mix it up more instead of sitting on one game serie these days, like call of duty is up in its 22nd game. They used to do hexen series (fps dark fantasy game with a little bit of puzzles and metroidvania) back in those days, but IP got desolved or didnt sell well, they should make another attempt at one, i would like to say except its no longer the same developers as then i think. Major problem is some big ones out there is stuck in a loot box loop, or something else, like Blizzard or Raven. I'm not sure if Raven is afraid of taking chances outside of CoD money making
