Your opinion, if someone will buy an EA title let them do that..
The warning does need repeating every now and then for uninitiated: Buyer Beware. Development could halt tomorrow, and you have no recourse.
Kill Bill
Fast and Furious
Harry Potter
The Hobbit
Avengers
Dune
Spiderman
But I know what you are saying. I am playing several early access games and really don't care if they finish because they are already worth the price: Dyson Sphere Program, Satisfactory, Planet Crafter. Also played several that had successful 1.0 launches: Subnautica, Subnautica: Below Zero, AI War. And I have several in my wishlist and will definitely wait on.
I try to keep early access titles to a minimum but this is one I will probably buy.
So I don't care, it's sometimes the only way for small indie devs to deliver us some good stuff.
You have zero idea how game development works.
A big part of EA games is that the Developer and the Publisher are the same, which means they don't have a influx of money coming in from a Publisher to keep funding the development of the game, which is exactly why games go into EA, so they can actually keep developing the game. How exactly do they pay for things like rent and food if they are doing this for free as their full time job?
I am right there with you. Sons of the Forest launched back in February, but was a disappointment, and that game is EA.
Are you ok?
Based on what you've said, it's worth pointing out that Early Access is cheaper than full release and those players that do buy the game in Early Access get the opportunity to help us shape the game...or not. It's up to them.
