What is the point of the time limit??

Ok I love the game. I'm willing to buy it. Even if it's early release or beta. I just don't see the point of having a time limit!

The timer is there just for the sake of the demo :)

We know no one wants the timer. It's all about getting the balance right. We want players to get a good idea of how the world looks, how the game plays etc, but we also need to leave players feeling hungry for more! With a linear game, this is easier to do. But with a sandbox, this becomes a bit trickier!

We have pushed and got an additional 20 minutes in the open world for players, meaning the total length is now 50-60 minutes for a free demo. There is more than enough time there to do everything that is available in this demo. Or hey, use the time to take in the views if you want to go at your own pace. You can always play it a second time :)

there is a mission they just added that will get rid of the timer. its a bit tight, but its doable. i've been flying around for hours now. the only problem is with the limited stuff in the game, you end of weight capped and cant build anything else. i ended up finding the boarder of the map though ;)

oh and as for the mission. do AS much as you can before filling the engine with fuel for the first time(that triggers the countdown). That includes stockpiling some extra fuel and making sure you are fully fed and watered. cooking is important as eating raw fruit will give you diseases. then get the solid state battery from the first building before leaving the area(you'll have to fly the ship around since it power the door.

then run like hell to the next tower(the blinking red lights in the distance). there you'll find a christmas tree and a present. grab em both and put em in you ship. you'll need to manufacture decorations for the tree (5) and a wreath. you also need 3 presents, means you'll have to rush to the next 2 radio towers to get. theres usually 1 per tower until the mission is done. then you will unlock unlimited time mode. save that and away you go.
