Stuck at beginning: Synthetic Compound Recipe

I can't seem to unlock the Synthetic Compound Recipe needed to progress. I've followed checklist up to the point where I need to make a scanner. There's no option to make a Synthetic Compound, only Machine parts. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

I should add that I've extracted plenty of synthetic materials. Bottles and floating stuff too.

It should be in your suite printer. After Research.

Have you not found any at the tutorial location to scan or pickup?

I just did 3 quick testruns. On all 3 testruns I unlocked it immediately after extracting any synthetic material(both bottles as the floating big and small ones), without research I have to add.

I think somewhere it went wrong, since you're still very very early, I would advise to try a new game.

Reinstalling fixed the issue. Thanks for looking into it
