What is "Airship Building Ruleset Legacy" And just what doss it Do??

Ruleset: normal ruleset, early items have restrictions on placement, while upgraded versions have more placement options. e.g. the first engine must go on catwalk, but the upgraded version can go on walls. Legacy ruleset lets you place anywhere (or just on frames at least, instead of catwalks)

Yeah being able to place on the airship frame allows for way more freedom, so legacy it is. Though it does say whats the difference when you switch the modes right under them.

You don't have to. Afaik you can change that any time
