I mean thats the problem with most games currently on the market. This is not an isolated instance. Stalker is the best example, even now you can get softlocked out of the game and is missing multiplayer even on full release. It will be added in the future. But buggy messes make for charming moments at times so its not all grim.
The question has been answered, just requires some reading and critical thinking; but let me help you. Something being fully released does not mean it is finished. It means all key and major elements are there in this case the FULL story. Much like subnautica BZ one the story was fully finished they decided for a full release, but guess what there were still a lot of bugs and minor features missing which they decided to patch in later. To put it in to your words there were still shortcomings. A game is finished the moment the devs say we are done with this game we are moving on. If then there are features promised missing then there is no excuse. Look at Stardew Valley, fully released for years still being patched for bugs and content added.
So your original argument albeit not wrong was very flawed and narrow sighted.
Sounds like you're concern trolling.. if its not for you its not for you
I refunded the game after I realized its one of those dev teams pushing the global warming earth is being destroyed fossil fuels are bad types. That is why the game is so boring to be real.
you also have absolutely no clue what "cash grab" means. smh...
the game was in early access for 2 years or so. why did you even buy it? there is plenty of info, trailers, and threads. next time you should inform yourself better, before spending money. now go and refund and play something else...
Did they really go with the whole "my climate change"? Everyone wants to act like their games are the new hottest thing, but they can't be original. "Let's use the same recycled story again! It is totally different though"
Forever Skies is an action-survival game taking place on Earth, which was devastated by a global ecological disaster. This event caused the surface of the planet to be covered in a colossal layer of toxic dust. You’re returning to our planet hundreds of years later - will you recognize our world?
please show me the climate part. fyi, "ecological disaster" isn't just related to climate.
Notice I was replying to a comment, not commenting on the game. I never claimed to own the game, I was looking at the discussion boards, deciding if I wanted to buy it.
I thank you for your useless input though.
It's not about a climate change ('cause it's a natural process, but influenced by humanity), it's about "people bad" and "nature good" in general. The worst part is a sense of defeatism that can be found in many lore tablets where people just straight up give up and go like "boo hoo we lost, we have no place here, nature knows best" and so on. This is something eco-activists would scream while gluing themselves to the road.
This was actually the type of answer I was looking for. Thank you.
I'll be passing on this title. I don't play games to be preached at. Should have noticed it from the DLC.
so explaining what is in the game is "useless input"? uhm ok... more useful than your post, talking like you know the game.
i also didn't say you claimed owning it...i just pointed it out that you don't...
i would also not say that humanity just gave up, hence why we're down on earth again looking for a cure.
but i wouldn't expect people to be all happy when they see their loved ones die from the virus. js
and what dlc do you mean? the dolphin & whale item? there is again literally no mention of climate there. sure the warming and such of the oceans is part of climate change, but still, nothing about it anywhere on the dlc page.
i guess if people want to complain about it, they find a way. some still deny the facts about the climate changes too...
i also didn't come here because of the climate talk... that was started by someone else for no reason, since it is off-topic in here. my 1st post was about the topic, unlike yours. you don't even have to be smart to figure that out.
Sure thing Sally
if all you play is sea of thieves/no man's sky/etc... then it doesn't take a blind man to see...
however... it is very annoying when someone looks at a game and starts comparing it to 100 triple A games that are completely different
FOREVER SKIES IS NOT:
------------------------
A base building game (not exactly)
An RPG
An FPS
A PvP Game
Full of NPCs
FOREVER SKIES IS:
--------------------
An Airship building game
A game where you have to survive the weather and elements and the *almost passive* creatures
A game for people who like to decorate a *base*
A game for people who want a break from all those games that this is not
VERY silent and atmospheric if you don't have anyone to play with/don't want to
*NOT for you if you can't accept the above*
