Sad times. :(

Has anyone got it working on Steam Deck in handheld mode?

I know that…but that doesn’t mean it’s not working. Many unsupported titles work out of the box.
I just spent about an hour playing on my Deck. In the end the settings that worked for me were:

Compatability: Proton experimental
Resolution: 1920x1080 (might not be needed)

In game:
The main thing seems to be changing dx12 to dx11 in the graphics settings.

I went with mostly low settings and FSR off and outside of one wide, empty indoor area it felt smooth. Didn't measure my fps but I was surprised at how well it ran after having to do around 4 hard resets testing settings.

Really appreciate your feedback.
I know optimization was/probably still is part of the devs agenda, but wasn’t sure how much TLC this game has received since.
I assume since the game is not Linux supported, means its also not Steam Deck supported since Steam Deck is Linux products.
So after another few hours it's still running well. Very smooth 30 at the lowest (to the point I thought it was higher) to mid-high 40s. No crashes.

Obviously don't base your purchasing decision on a random steam comment when another patch could suddenly break everything but I had really been hoping to play this on an international flight this week and I feel as though I can do that without an issue now.

Appreciated. This is good feedback. Just collecting info and trying to determine if the devs stick to their word.

I mean, they said its not supported on Steam Deck, so how can you hold them to something they havent promised? Until they say greenlight it saying its Verified, The Official Response is "Dont play it on Steam Deck" or "Your mileage may vary, we havent done anything to improve or make it playable." Its *Unsupported*, which means, Whatever you get is whatever you get. Can you be held to something you didnt promise? How is it you have some Exclusive ability to be an Arbiter in this manner?

Fwiw I've played it on PC with a wireless Xbox controller and a wireless PS5 controller. Only seems to have problems when switching controllers such as if your battery died so you grabbed a different one and it wouldn't accept inputs from the new controller.
