And i'm done! Finished the game.
Went through the last few story missions. I'll have to make a new game and try again to get the other ending...I'll wait till sometime after full release. My impressions so far are.

Colossal creatures are cool. But pretty useless. Eggshells don't seem to do anything other than be fairly ugly placeables.

New locations need a bit more fleshing out.

Pipes still suck a lot. Always been difficult, that hasn't changed. So far they have once again proven to not be worth the time to place. Shame. The only useful things so far are the fuel tank, and the membrane water generation...but just for connecting to a large water tank. Need a connector socket to merge pipes or connect sprinklers to as well.

Cutscenes at the start and end are strangely low-quality? They really don't look all that good.

Game balance is far improved. I spent an absolute minimum amount of time resource hunting. No more visiting multiple locations and grinding for polymer or epoxy. Once you get to a location where you can find it, you find lots and can shortly afterward make more. The Only thing I had problems with were the new research parts. 20-30 hours in, toward the very end.....still had mostly-cosmetic parts like railing variants locked since I didn't feel like grinding a lot of locations for more advanced/unique research parts.

Pretty satisfied so far. Looking forward to doing another run sometime after full 1.0 release....probably a few months past even to let more patches and fixes settle in.

Putting 1.0 on the store page doesn't mean any more bugs have been fixed or any more content was added. It's just changing a label. 1.0 was available in the beta channel for a while now.

I know full release was soon, and I'm not complaining (much).

And you're quite wrong, Smartik1. Things have been changing noticibly week over week as they fix and add stuff coming up to the 1.0 launch....certain locations and items that were incomplete are being filled in or changed. And it's a foregone conclusion I was playing the beta branch and taking my sweet time about it.

This is patently false. In the BETA, as an example:

The Paint recipes were locked behind Data cards. In the 1.0 release, they changed the Paint unlocks to Discovery categories in the Studies menu, as an example. There are a few other things I noticed that were changed between the BETA and 1.0, such as spawn rates post-game. I get that you dont like the game for w/e reason, and are concern trolling because you have a case of the SADS, but at least be TRUTHFUL with what you're spreading... or be discredited along with your unnecessary behavior.
