Backpack problem (additional slots)

Found a small backpack, researched, crafted and used, a lock appeared on the backpack slot.
now I found a medium and large backpack, I can't craft the medium one, because I need a small one, but it has a lock and I can't remove it. I created a second small one, crafted a medium one, then a large backpack, but I can't replace it, I can't remove the small one, there is always a lock on the backpack slot.

and yes... I removed everything from the inventory, everything, from all slots, even quick slots.

Is this clearly a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Okay, the backpack slot was unlocked after a complete reboot of the game (the entire inventory was empty beforehand)

i had the same problem. i finally figured out as you did that i had to empty the backpack slots and then save and reload the save. i didn't need to restart the game for mine to work. the medium backpack behaves the same way it seems. not a huge issue but a little annoying though
