You have to make them. They require a specific plant from where the Mantises are located.

any tips on dealing with mantis,s? and is the plant gloweed by any chance?

Stealth in. Aim for the head. Dodge their ranged attack.

If I remember correctly, when you get the correct plant, you will see the new item open up for research.

AWESOME ADVICE thanks, i saw the mantis when i was down there but i turned tail and ran as i had the resin i had been looking for, was looking for ages but now i think i will nip down and try out my pve.

Yes, you have to get past the Mantises to unlock quite a few things you will want. :)

YOU ARE NOT WRONG LOL but its cool ive just finished researching charged bolt and yeah i found a few usefull items. now i can go back down and finish it off with my new bolts. thx for the advice it came in very handy pal.
