black screen on start, can't play.
when I start a new game I just get a black screen, tried updating nvidia drivers, tried changing resolution to 1080p, tried exclusive fullscreen and borderless. searched on discussions and found a guy with the same problem a year ago with no fix mentioned.

specs: RTX 4070, 7800x3d, 32GB ram, Windows 11

Had the same issue. Don't know if this is what fixes it for everyone but here's what did for me: VSync was set to "Fast" in my NVidia settings. Changing this to "OFF" fixed the black screen. I only got the black screen when I recently started a new game, so it looks like it was when it tried to play the intro video. Hopefully this helps!

Try to add the game to the exceptions in your antivirus software, we've had reports about this. Games made with Unreal Engine sometimes have that problem.

Same for me as well. My old save loads, but new game is a no go.
Having the same issue as well, tried all of the trouble shooting to no end, Seems like it has happened in previous versions and they didn't get a fix for it. Shame

I came here to post the exact same solution but you beat me to it. I was having the black screen issue too, and turning the vsync off fixed it.
