I have heard of a couple other people with this issue. IDK if they ever came up with a fix for it. Sorry.
Thank you for answer! Tried to communicate with them, still no answer :(
I was remodelling the airship, and removing metal floors/ship sections.
It seems that anything sitting on a floor section you remove gets deleted.
Would be safer if the game warned about this or prevented deletion of sections when decorative items are placed on them.
Would also be nice if there was a way to get my little buddy back :(
Did you make an official bug report. If not, please do. They are trying to reproduce this issue. So it can be addressed.
The bed was located on the ground floor under a staircase section. The pet was on the bed at the time.
For me, the pet and his bed disappeared simply after reloading my game. I just got it, didn't even have enough time to come up with a name for it :(
The only way to get it back seems to be loading an older save in which I haven't placed it. At least that's the only way I could figure it out. Just a loss of maybe fifteen minutes for me, luckily. But now I'm scared to lose him without a way to get it back easily.
Edit you auto save for every few minutes. That way you lose less if an error happens. I have done this myself just in case. Also increased the number of them.
Please make a bug ticket. They need every bit of info to try and get this all figured out.
For me it happend with the bloom cockpit (the 2 section wide one), and placing the bed in the middle plattform. I have been able to reproduce this glitch a few times now (after backing up my new save -.-)
If you now "move" the bed with the Z key, sometimes after placing the bed it will not really be on the ground (especially in the corners of the cockpit). If you go down the stairs you will see the bed "hover" what seems to be about 20 in game cm over the floor.
This bug bed is now bugged. ;-)
-> If you save and reload, the bed+anything in it disappears.
-> If you try to move the bed again with "Z", the game crashes.
-> If you fly away you will notice the bed stuck to its ingame position and NOT fly with you and your airship.
One attempt I was able to save my Pet, but if your game crashes and it have autosaved while the bed was bugged+pet in the bed.... well I hope you still have a save before you bugged the bed...
Buggy Bug Bed that bugs ..... ..... everyone?
I had the same experience and lost the little buggar and had to start from an older save - what I do now is I dont use the Z key to move the bed but the Q key to pick it up and then replace it. Allso if I do any alterations on my airship, I pick up both the Friendly Insect and the bug bed and keep it in the backpack untill I´m done building.
